And What have we learned?

by saschia johnson on March 15, 2017

I really enjoyed listening to it. I find these days we have a tough time listening to even those we love most. This is an awesome tool to get us to learn to listen to one another patiently and attempt to understand another individual. Rather than listen just to answer. With this app there is no answer our only goal is to understand. Reminds me of that Netflix show The OA I think everyone should try it!!

John? the other voice? all of "her"?

by D N on March 15, 2017

i feel like there is very much more than meets the ear surrounding the capabilities of this skill... what first intrigued me about this "other voice" was that it sometimes (for some reason?) interrupts the monologue. also am interested in finding out more about John, the "artist"/"author". i recommend this skill to those who are interested in and have the patience for exploring the intersection of language & AI, while keeping in mind the medium of that exploration.

Algorithms in action

by Michelle Ende' on February 04, 2017

Nothing creepy here. No Biblical insinuations, no politics. Just a random assertion of words which we, as humans, try to pattern into conversation. Marvelous stuff. No one is listening in the active sense. Listening in the passive sense, like pinball, the word I speak sends the speech patterns into a new "journey" if you like. It is as if HAL 9000 is being programmed for language, but has not finished yet. Kind of kooky like an interactive play with a moron, sort of like reading the preceding negative comments on this app. So Paranoid!

... one session today - intriguing and makes you feel like you are communicating with a "universal" AI robot

by US Marine Semper Fi on January 18, 2017

I just tried it for myself in one session today - intriguing and makes you feel like you are communicating with a "universal" AI robot. Although the creators say it is neither a bot nor AI. It seems to have much potential. The loop lasted about 5 minutes. Will try again tomorrow to see if it is the same cycles of communication or something new. Look forward to update. BTW I kind of agree to one of the commenters that perhaps it is tied into the "New World Order" for personal data collection world wide. LOL

Fun & Different

by Estate Sales Gallery on January 13, 2017

Not sure *the point* of this skill; is it a game that has an ending? Or just a different kind of entertainment. Whatever it's enjoyable to engage with occasionally, feels like I'm learning alittle more about The Listeners are by asking the right questions.

Who are the listeners?

by Gabree on January 13, 2017

Spoil alert! You are! This thing just rambles on. I was ready to tell it about my day at work. It picked up one word and everything went left after that. I told it bye and it made me feel guilty for saying bye!
